Jamie Oh is an American musician that has hitchhiked his way across over twenty countries. He is a multi-instrumentalist and singer, and makes use of a looping pedal to essentially become a “one-man-band.” Layers of guitar, bass, beatbox percussion, and vocals are added to create new arrangements of familiar songs and original tunes.
He spent many years with a guitar in hand hitchhiking and busking throughout the U.S. and Europe. The mission was simple - explore the world as much as possible, and play music for the folks he crossed paths with. He thumbed his way from Sweden down to Serbia, playing shows, house concerts, and singing in the streets in each country.
As luck would have it, while he was in Serbia he bumped into a British band in need of a lead guitarist. He joined them and was invited to perform in Greece, Ireland, and the Middle East. This led to countless adventures and shows in all sorts of settings, from cozy Irish bars all the way to a billionaire’s birthday party in Qatar. The solo travels continued from there, living in the Philippines and visiting other sites throughout Asia. He found himself performing on remote islands for foreigners and locals alike.
Jamie takes the Bebop stage March 11th 7pm-10pm!
